Visiting Clatterbridge Private Clinic

Due to the increasing number of cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) across the UK, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is trying to reduce the number of people coming to our clinic.

We kindly ask that anyone with symptoms of a fever and/or an acute onset of a continuous cough, or those patients who have tested positive for coronavirus, do not visit any of our sites.

Please see the PHE website for the latest advice.

Patients

Unless you have been contacted to inform you otherwise, all patients should attend their appointments as normal. The health and safety of our patients, visitors and staff is of the utmost priority and The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre has put measures in place to ensure your safety, whilst also continuing to provide a safe and effective service to our patients.

Visitors

As a precautionary measure, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre kindly request:

  • Where possible attend for appointments alone.
  • If you have a disability or need assistance from the car a member of staff will support you into the clinic from the private patients car park.
  • If you absolutely must bring a visitor, we are restricting only one visitor for any appointments.
  • Please bring a packed lunch with you as we are unable to guarantee food in the clinic.

We understand that support from family and friends are an essential support during cancer treatment, however in the short term, we kindly appreciate if you could follow our advice.

Visitor guidance is available here.

We thank you for your understanding and would like to remind everyone to follow Public Health England’s advice

  • Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Then bin the tissue, and wash your hands, or use a sanitiser gel.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using public transport. Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
