Clatterbridge Private Clinic held its first CPC Afternoon tea for our patients, held at the Liverpool Clinic. This event was arranged for patients and their families to get together with the clinicians, administration team, and each other to share their journey, discuss any worries or concerns, get some helpful advice or information and support each other while enjoying afternoon tea.
This afternoon tea is just one of many things the Clatterbridge Private Clinic do to benefit our patients. It’s small touches like this which make your journey with us more comfortable and ensure you and your family feel fully supported every step of the way. We want to ensure our patients get to know all the staff here at the clinic so they’re always greeted by a friendly and familiar face, which makes their treatment easier.
Claire Jago, Ward Manager, said after the event, “We wanted to provide our patients and their families a time away from treatment where they could talk through their diagnosis and treatment, with us around to provide any advice or guidance for them. It was quite emotional at times but full of love and hope.”

Duncan Armfield spoke at the event, saying, “We hear from our patients and families that the clinic provides a safe haven not only for treatment but also for talking through those worries that naturally come from a cancer diagnosis. Even when treatment is complete, we now have time set aside for them to return to see us and to provide support to those having treatment through their experiences.”
At the Clatterbridge Private Clinic, we are always thinking of new ways to help our patients and their families feel more comfortable and supported during their treatment and beyond. From our modern and comfortable clinic to our one-to-one treatment sessions where our nurses and healthcare staff sit with patients one-to-one to chat with them, answer any questions, provide support and help them pass the time.
Our patient liaison team are also always on hand to help our patients throughout their journey, arranging transport to and from the clinic if needed and working directly with insurers so you don’t have to worry about billing and payment.
We are planning to hold the afternoon tea at both Liverpool and the Wirral clinics on regularly and, after feedback from those who attended, bring along many of the fabulous support services the clinic offers to provide further advice, support and guidance. We look forward to seeing many of our patients and families at these events in the future.
