Dr Lampkin took part in the annual Port Sunlight 10K run on Sunday, 8th June 2025, along with more than a thousand other runners over the 5K, 10K and 1K family fun runs. He managed to raise over £1200 for the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, which raises funds to support the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, so they can continue to provide exceptional cancer care to all their patients.
The course took a circuit around the historic and beautifully preserved Port Sunlight, with many supporters lining the route, cheering the runners on. Dr Lampkin stated after clocking a time of 46 minutes and 15 seconds: “I love doing this run with so much support all around the course, and I wanted to thank all those who sponsored me, raising over £1200 for the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. This worthy cause ploughs money into Clatterbridge, helping to improve cancer care across our communities”.
