Prof. Arthur Sun Myint

Professor Sun Myint has been treating cancer patients for over 40 years. He is one of the world’s leading experts in the field of contact radiotherapy and introduced contact X-ray brachytherapy (Papillon) into the UK in 1993. Professor Myint was appointed specialist advisor for NICE for rectal brachytherapy and was part of the team who wrote the treatment guidelines published in 2006. He is a founder member of International Contact Radiotherapy Society (ICONE) and has over 50 peer-reviewed publications and four textbook chapters to his name. Professor Sun Myint is the lead clinician for Papillon Therapy at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre where he has worked as a consultant for over 25 years.
