Dr Chinnamani obtained his Batchelor of Medicine in Chennai, India. He came to the UK in 1996, and after working in general medicine gained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 1998. Following further specialist training in clinical oncology he completed his Fellowship and Masters Degree at Liverpool University in 2003. He was appointed consultant in Clinical Oncology at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in 2004.
