Skydive Sunday: Three Ladies From The Clatterbridge Private Team To Raise Money For The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity

On the 21st of March, 3 spectacular ladies from the Clatterbridge Private Clinic team, will be diving from tummy turning heights to raise money to fund ground-breaking cancer research and lifesaving treatments.

What is Skydive Sunday?

Each year, Clatterbridge Cancer Charity sets out to raise money for The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre so they can provide the best possible care to all their patients. The adrenaline-pumping challenge has raised an astonishing £264,000 over the years, for funding pioneering research and vital services – ranging from new innovations to the special touches that help to change lives.

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s leading providers of non-surgical cancer treatment, caring for a population of 2.4 million people across Cheshire & Merseyside, North Wales, the Isle of Man, and parts of Lancashire.

Together, working across all sites and operating a practised network of chemotherapy clinics, Clatterbridge delivers a comprehensive range of inpatient care, advanced radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and other systemic anti-cancer therapies including gene therapies and immunotherapies. They are also the only facility in the UK providing low-energy proton beam therapy to treat rare eye cancers and host the region’s Teenage and Young Adult Unit, (supported by the Teenage Cancer Trust).

Clatterbridge Private Clinic is part of the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust and 49% of our profits go back into the NHS to improve health and wellbeing through compassionate, safe, and effective cancer care. The Clatterbridge Private team wan to help support the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in any way we can.

The Clatterbridge Private team who are raising money for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity:

Three amazing ladies from the Clatterbridge Private clinic team have decided to take part in the Sunday Skydive on the 21st March 2021 to raise money for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. They’re taking part in the ultimate adrenaline challenge and are skydiving from 15,000ft, all to support Clatterbridge Cancer Charity and raise money for the vital research they do and to help improve patient experiences. Let’s introduce our brave team!

Clatterbridge Private Clinic

Shelly Birch, a Patient Services Co-ordinator, who is a dedicated point of contact for all our private patients. She is always on hand to answer any questions, respond to queries, organise schedules and appointments to ensure treatments cause minimum disruption to patients’ everyday lives. Always happy to listen and on-hand to guide patients and families through all the stages of their life-changing cancer treatments.

Chemotherapy staff nurse, Debby Henery, helps by administering specialised treatments such as chemotherapy to patients in the Private Clinic, ensuring they are comfortable and feel at ease throughout their treatment.

Dedicated Chemotherapy Support Worker, Clare Kelly, is always on hand to provide reassuring emotional support to patients and their family. She helps provide care and administer treatments to patients receiving chemotherapy at the Clatterbridge Private Clinic.

These ladies see first-hand how the latest therapies and innovations in cancer care can change people’s lives and want to help raise vital funds to help support more people on their cancer journey. All the money raised will go to the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity to help improve patient experience, fund vital research, the latest therapies, and innovations in cancer treatment.

We appreciate all the support we can get for our wonderful Clatterbridge Private Clinic team taking part in the Sunday Skydive. They have a target of £1,500 that they want to raise between them.
