We are committed to providing exceptional levels of care and support to all our patients. If you choose us to provide your care, your case will be discussed by a multidisciplinary team of experts who will decide upon the most appropriate course of treatment for your particular cancer.
If you require drug treatment such as chemotherapy, hormone therapy or targeted therapies, or a radiation-based treatment such as radiotherapy or brachytherapy, you’ll be referred to an oncologist.
Before treatment begins your oncologist will explain exactly what’s involved. They’ll obtain written consent for treatment, and will answer any questions you may have.
If further tests or scans are required, these will be organised by our Patient Liaison Team, who will also work with you to schedule your treatment appointments.
Whilst on treatment, your oncologist will monitor and review your progress regularly, and will be available to address any of your questions or concerns.
Following completion of treatment, your oncologist will arrange follow-up appointments at regular intervals. As a part of this programme further tests or scans may be required to check on the progress of the cancer and to measure the effectiveness of treatment.
