Cancer Care for International Patients
We are dedicated to providing excellent cancer care to all our patients and helping to make their journey with us as comfortable and positive as possible. We understand that a cancer diagnosis can be life changing in many ways but we are here to listen, understand and support you every step of the way. Our international private cancer patients can expect a 5-star service from our world-class centre which provides pioneering treatments tailored to your needs by our expert consultants.
Clatterbridge is proud to care for a wide range of international patients from all over the world and is the preferred centre for cancer treatment for many international governments. Through international agreements we have cared for patients from over 19 different countries. We understand that some cancers can be extremely rare and patients often struggle to find doctors with the expertise needed to treat these cancers in their own country. We have many expert consultants who specialise in a wide variety of cancers, including treating rare cancers, which appeals to our international visitors.
Developed and refined here at Clatterbridge, Proton Therapy is a ground-breaking eye cancer treatment which is only available in a few hospitals around the world. It is specifically suited to treating tumours of the eye and is the only compact solution that offers Pencil Beam Scanning which minimises radiation exposure to healthy tissue.
Here at Clatterbridge we have access to state-of-the-art techniques and radiotherapy machines which can be used to treat a variety of cancers. Administered by experienced physicists, radiographers and clinicians, you are guaranteed the best possible care. We have a wide range of treatment techniques including but not limited to: Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), External Beam Radiation Therapy (EBRT), Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT).
Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT)
Clatterbridge provide a number of treatments that involve using medication to treat cancer. These include Chemotherapy which is used to destroy cancer cells and a number of targeted drug therapies such as Immunotherapy which encourages the immune system to attack infections and diseases like cancer. Treatments are tailored to each patients’ clinical needs and are provided in a comfortable and supportive environment.
